Summer Concert : Songs, Sonnets and Scones

A relaxed afternoon performance, featuring George Shearing’s witty, playful settings of Shakespeare.  Continuing the theme, the winner of NBC’s 2023 bursary, Abigail Barker, will sing Madeleine Dring’s Shakespearian Songs.  To herald the Choir’s 70th Anniversary Season, we will perform Herbert Howells’ Hymn to St Cecilia, the patron saint of music.  And what better way to round off an afternoon than by enjoying our traditional summer complimentary coffee or tea and cake?!
