This image is a detail of the Parish, City and County Memorial at the High Pavement entrance to the Churchyard. This memorial was restored in 2017 to honour the memory in our time of all who died in the Great War 1914 – 1918.
The 34 gorgeous robins who’ve brightened up the city centre over the summer flew into St Mary’s last Thursday for a grand auction. They completley stole the hearts of bidders who spent £133,000 for the privilege of taking one home. All proceeds went to Nottinghamshire Hospice who organised the event.

On Wednesday October 10th, 7.30pm start, the Sinfonia Viva Orchestra, the Lost Boys Drama Company together with soloists and choir bring professional music and drama conceived from WW1 sources to St Mary’s Church.
In Part 1, The Lost Boys present ‘Strange Meeting’ which is an emotionally wrought play built around Wilfred Owen’s poem of the same name.
After the interval professional musicians perform extracts from Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem.
