Weddings and Baptisms Baptisms Baptisms can be arranged both for children and adults. Often this is as part of the Sunday morning service, but separate baptism services can be held if required. Please contact the parish office for more information. Weddings The marriage service should be the highlight of your wedding day and we will work with you to make sure it is. St Mary’s is the perfect setting for a beautiful wedding with its medieval architecture and superb choir. It also has a dedicated Clergy who are determined to help you make the very best of your day. There are however a number of legal requirements to satisfy. If you live in the Lace Market, the Victoria Centre or the immediate parish you have no problem. For those who live further afield there are two options: Attend church for six months and become a regular member of the congregation Obtain a special licence from the Archbishop of Canterbury For further information about this, fees, how to plan your service or for an informal discussion please contact the Parish Office who will arrange for you to meet with a member of clergy to discuss your ideas.
